Poetry_The Day I Died

|
i died today.
this happened suddenly and with splendid intent.
i am now your past.

today i came to life.
the electricity flowed.
it will not happen again sir, i assure you.

the return. feels like repeat-epeat-peat, rape eat.

a new again.

the next first time of what seems
sounds
feels so, familiar

i hear the life spinning now.

the motor revs.
split second precision.
machine translating my every command.

operating.
making the right choice.
programmed for perfection.

i died that day and there was no drink to be swallowed.
no hallowed halls to hold an audience
absolutely no jacket to zip up over my frozen bones

sparks flying, road warrior, circuit breaker snap

poems
pomes
the words rumble
and trip
but here they are
again

i'm in love
i'm in love
i'm in love
and then it stopped

THE DAY I DIED.
